Claims Upheld By federal Circuit As Invalid As Indefinite
WASHINGTON, D.C. - Even though a claim term’s definition that is supported by the specification can be articulated, a claim is still indefinite if a person of ordinary skill in the art could not translate the definition into “meaningfully precise claim scope,” the federal Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals held Jan. 25 (Halliburton Energy Services, Inc. v.
